What is Interrogative Sentences?

🔹 What is Interrogative Sentences?

Ans: যে বাক্যের সাহায্যে কিছু প্রশ্ন বা question জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পারি, সেই বাক্যকে বলা হয় interrogative sentence।

▪️যেমন-
▫️Statement (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য): You are ill.

▫️Interrogative (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য):Are you ill?

– দেখো প্রথম বাক্যটি একটি সাধারণ বাক্য কিন্তু দ্বিতীয় বাক্যটির সাহায্যে একটি প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করা হচ্ছে।

🔹Rules:
▫️Statement: S + (auxiliary verb/main verb)+ O

যেমন- He is a teacher.
They are busy.
I have a pen.
You had no servant.

▫️ Interrogative: auxiliary verb + S + O +?

যেমন- Is he a teacher?
Are they busy?
Have I a pen?
Had you no servant?

– যখন বাক্যে principal বা main verb থাকে, তখন সেই বাক্যটিকে interrogative sentence গঠন করার জন্য ‘do’ বা ‘does’ ব্যবহার করা হয় Present Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে এবং “did” ব্যবহার করা হয় Past Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে।

▫️Statement: S + V¹/ V² + O

যেমন- 1. He plays cricket.
2. You live in Delhi.
3. You show the picture.

▫️Interrogative: Do/does/did + S + V¹+ O + ?

যেমন-
1. Does he play cricket?
2. Do you live in Delh. 3.Did you see the picture?

🔹 Note:
– যখন বাক্যে verb এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত থাকে, তখন interrogative করার সময় Does দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু করতে হয়, আর তখন verb এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত হয় না।(দেখো- example: 1)

যখন বাক্যে verb-এর 2nd form ( V²) থাকে, তখন interrogative করার সময় Did দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু করতে হয়, আর verb এর simple form হয়।

Interrogative Sentences

🔹 What is Interrogative Sentences?

Ans: যে বাক্যের সাহায্যে কিছু প্রশ্ন বা question জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পারি, সেই বাক্যকে বলা হয় interrogative sentence।

▪️যেমন-
▫️Statement (বিবৃতিমূলক বাক্য): You are ill.

▫️Interrogative (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য):Are you ill?

– দেখো প্রথম বাক্যটি একটি সাধারণ বাক্য কিন্তু দ্বিতীয় বাক্যটির সাহায্যে একটি প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করা হচ্ছে।

🔹Rules: যখন বাক্যে principal main verb হিসেবে “to be” verb ( am/is/are/was/were) এবং “to have” verb ( have/has) থাকে, তখন interrogative sentence করার সময় সেই verb গুলি দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু হবে এবং Subject ঠিক তার পরে বসবে।
▫️Statement: S + (auxiliary verb/main verb)+ O

যেমন- He is a teacher.
They are busy.
I have a pen.
You had no servant.

▫️ Interrogative করার নিয়ম হল : auxiliary verb + S + O +?

যেমন- Is he a teacher?
Are they busy?
Have I a pen?
Had you no servant?

🔹Rules:
যখন বাক্যে principal বা main verb থাকে, তখন সেই বাক্যটিকে interrogative sentence গঠন করার জন্য ‘do’ বা ‘does’ ব্যবহার করা হয় Present Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে এবং “did” ব্যবহার করা হয় Past Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে।

যেমন-

🔹 Note:
– যখন বাক্যে verb এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত থাকে, তখন interrogative করার সময় Does দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু করতে হয়, আর তখন verb এর সাথে s/es যুক্ত হয় না।(দেখো- example: 1)

যখন বাক্যে verb-এর 2nd form ( V²) থাকে, তখন interrogative করার সময় Did দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু করতে হয়, আর verb এর simple form হয়।

🔹 Rules:
যখন বাক্যে দুটি auxiliaries থাকে, তখন interrogative sentence করার সময় প্রথম auxiliary verb দিয়ে বাক্যটির শুরু করতে হয়।

▫️Statement:
He has been living here for five years.

▫️ Interrogative করার নিয়ম হল :
Has he been living here for five years?


🔷 Negative Interrogative Sentences :

▪️ Noun এর ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ম হল :
Statement: (S + auxiliary
verb+ not + O)

Interrogative: (auxiliary
verb + not + S + O + ?)

– যখন বাক্যটি noun দিয়ে শুরু হয়,
যেমন- Prafulla is not strong.

– এই বাক্যটি interrogative করার সময় “Is not” দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু হবে subject ঠিক তারপরে বসবে।

যেমন- Is not Prafulla strong?


▪️ Pronouns এর ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ম হল –
Statement: (S+ auxiliary
verb+ not+O)

Interrogative: (Auxiliary verb +S + not + O + ? )

– যখন negative sentence টি pronoun দিয়ে শুরু হয়,

যেমন- He is not strong.

-এই বাক্যটি interrogative করার সময় ‘Is’ দিয়ে বাক্যটি শুরু হবে, not ঠিক subject এরপরে বসবে।

যেমন- Is he not strong?
